Golf carts will be available from 8:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 1, and must be returned by 4:00 p.m. Monday, September 7.

Price is $375 plus a processing transaction fee charged to the club.

GOLF CART RENTAL AGREEMENT

The operation of a golf cart on the Island Grove Regional Park event grounds is a privilege granted by the Host Club. By signing this agreement, the renter and all authorized operators agree to comply with all applicable AKC rules, Host Club rules, and directions from event officials. Failure to comply with these requirements may result in immediate revocation of golf cart privileges without refund and may result in removal from the event grounds.

Driver Requirements

1. Operators must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license.

2. Only the individual(s) listed on this rental agreement may operate the golf cart.

3. The renter is responsible for the actions of all authorized drivers.

4. The renter and all authorized operators are jointly responsible for compliance with this agreement.

Safety Around Dogs and Exhibitors

5. Pedestrians and dogs always have the right-of-way.

6. Golf carts must be operated at a safe speed appropriate for crowded event grounds. Maximum speed on event grounds: 5 mph.

7. Operators shall exercise extreme caution in grooming areas, crating areas, vendor areas, parking lots, and near the rings.

8. Sudden acceleration, racing, horseplay, or reckless driving is prohibited.

9. Golf carts shall not be driven in a manner that startles, endangers, or interferes with dogs being exhibited.

Event Operations

10. Golf carts may only be operated in areas designated by the Event Committee.

11. Golf carts are prohibited inside buildings, grooming tents, rings, ring gates, and any area marked as restricted.

12. Golf carts may not block aisles, walkways, emergency access routes, ring entrances, or exhibitor traffic.

13. Operators must comply immediately with directions from the Event Committee, Grounds Committee, Parking Committee, security personnel, or their designees.

14. Towing of trailers, grooming equipment, crates, or other property is prohibited unless specifically authorized by the Host Club.

Dogs and Passengers

15. All dogs transported in or alongside a golf cart must remain under control and in compliance with AKC event requirements.

16. No person may ride on any portion of the golf cart other than a designated seat.

17. Passenger occupancy may not exceed the manufacturer's rated capacity.

18. Children shall not operate golf carts and shall be supervised while riding.

Conduct

19. Operation of a golf cart while impaired by alcohol, drugs, or medication is prohibited.

20. Loud, disruptive, or unsafe behavior is prohibited.

21. Use of mobile phones or other devices while driving is discouraged and must not interfere with safe operation.

22. Golf carts shall not be left unattended with the key in the ignition.

Damage and Liability

23. The renter assumes all responsibility for operation of the golf cart during the rental period.

24. The renter is responsible for any damage to the golf cart beyond normal wear and tear.

25. The renter is responsible for any property damage, personal injury, or dog injury resulting from negligent operation.

26. Any accident, injury, or property damage must be reported immediately to the Event Committee.

27. The renter assumes all risks associated with the operation and use of the golf cart.

28. The renter agrees that the Host Club, AKC, event officials, volunteers, and facility owners shall not be responsible for any injury, loss, damage, claim, liability, or expense arising from the renter's or any authorized operator's use of the golf cart.

29. The Host Club, AKC, event officials, volunteers, and facility owners are not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal property left in or around the golf cart.

30. The renter agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Host Club, AKC, event officials, volunteers, and facility owners from any claims, demands, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from the use, operation, possession, or control of the golf cart during the rental period, whether by the renter, an authorized operator, or any other person who gains access to the golf cart.

Return of Cart

31. Golf carts must be returned at the designated location and time.

32. Lost keys, chargers, or accessories may result in additional charges.

33. Failure to return the golf cart as directed may result in loss of future rental privileges.

Enforcement

34. Violation of any provision of this agreement may result in immediate revocation of golf cart privileges without refund and may result in removal from the event grounds.

Acknowledgment

I understand that operation of a golf cart on the event grounds is a privilege, not a right. I agree to follow all AKC rules, Host Club rules, and directions of event officials. I accept responsibility for the safe operation of the golf cart and for any authorized driver operating under my rental agreement.
